During this short week we have studied Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's Birthday and the Presidential Inauguration. Our book of the week was Martin's Big Words by Rappaport. We made dream mobiles while learning to follow directions, write words, and develop sentences, and will have a dream balloon release with letters that the kids have written. They seem to really enjoy their projects this week and know a lot of information about the civil rights movement. I can't believe how smart they are!! Take a moment and ask them what they know....It's really amazing.
