Break the Record!!

This week, September 30th we are studying about pumpkins and reading the story How many seeds in a pumpkin. We have worked on the concepts inside, big, medium, and small, and descriptions. We also snuck a little math in there by counting and grouping pumpkin seeds. Ask your child about another way that you can count pumpkin seeds as you prepare your pumpkins for fall.

Next week we will be studying The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. On October 8th we will read and try and break the record with Jumpstart's Read for the Record. Jumpstart supports year round literacy efforts with children in low-income communities. Check out the website www.readfortherecord.org and buy your Very Hungry Caterpillar book at Wal-mart a supporting sponsor. Continue to support reading!!
